Do you use subcontractors?

Yes, any company that builds home additions which require electrical service upgrades, new HVAC systems, plumbing, sewer relocations, and septic systems work, uses subcontractors as we do. The subcontractors that work for Additions Plus Inc. have over five years of professional experience, and every one is subject to a performance review.  Other than the trades mentioned, your new room will be built by a dedicated team of Additions Plus Inc. employees.

Do you guarantee your work?

Yes, Additions Plus Inc. gives you a 5 year workmanship warranty as well as a 10 year structural warranty on all work done.  Click here to view a copy of our warranty manual.

Can you pour a foundation in the winter months? Do you do construction during the winter season?

Foundations are poured in winter with special additives to ensure proper curing in cold temperatures. Helical piers can drill thru even the toughest frost from our harsh Canadian winters.  Additions Plus Inc. works all year long.

How many projects do you manage at one time?

 We manage up to three projects at a time; a dedicated project manager is assigned to each project to ensure proper progress. 

Are you expensive?

Additions Plus Inc. is competitively balanced; however,  because of our commitment to use only the best quality materials and professional craftsmen, we have never been the lowest price.  Our goal has always been to be competitive in the market place- not necessarily the lowest and certainly not the highest.  We have worked hard at securing the best deals with our suppliers and keeping our overhead at a minimum.  It is our firm belief that the conscientious homeowner recognizes that "you get what you pay for".   Additions Plus Inc. is committed to providing you with the best possible price along with the best quality service.

Yes, all Additions Plus Inc. employees and sub-contractors are covered by WSIB.

When you start a project, how long does it take?

Depending on size and weather conditions, the average project takes aproximately one month to completion.  Additions Plus Inc. provides all its customers with a detailed construction schedule and promises to complete the project in a timely and professional manner.  Each work crew is dedicated to your project and DOES NOT work on other projects while your room is in progress.  See our building process page for a detailed description.

Do I need a building permit?

Yes,  you need a building permit.  Additions Plus Inc. will take care of all the legal, architectural, building, and zoning procedures as needed. All our projects are built in accordance with the Ontario Building Code specifications.

Do I have to give a deposit?

Yes,  Additions Plus Inc. has a very detailed payment schedule based on our performance; we want you to be satisfied at every stage of the process.  A deposit of 10% of the project cost will be required to begin the process; this deposit will be used to cover architectural drawings, engineering, and permit costs.  When the project begins we will set up a payment schedule based on various stages of the project.

Will the price change during my project?

NO,  Additions Plus Inc. believes in the old school philosophy  "a deal is a deal".   If you, the customer, decide to make changes to the project during the construction process then we will make the appropriate adjustments.

If I sign an order with you, when can you start?

After signing an order, the process begins right away (see our building process page). The average project takes approximately 8 to 12 weeks to start date.

Can I see what my room would look like before you build it?

Yes, Additions Plus Inc. uses a very powerful architectural CAD program to produce 3d renderings of your project. This program is extremely helpful in the design process.  Click here for more information about our conceptual drawings.
